What happens when weather conditions aren't ideal?

February 14, 2017

If weather conditions become severe we may reschedule or downgrade scheduled service for the protection of staff and canine.
Summer: If the weather is above 30 degrees Celsius, Pack Walks, and Recess Socials will be downgraded to our Around the Block service.

Winter: We ask that all short-haired breeds wear coats to keep warm during the winter. Recess Social will be reduced to our Around the Block service when temperatures reach below -11 degree Celsius. Winter breeds will be exempt, provided documentation from veterinarian is provided.
Rain and other weather phenomenon: Services may be reduced/limited during heavy rainfall. In the event of dangerous winds, blizzards, and thunderstorms serviced may be reduced or limited, and in severe weather services may be cancelled.
Service prices will be adjusted accordingly on these days.

What happens during a meet-and-greet?

Meet-and-Greets allow us to assess your dog in a dog-friendly environment. We want to know how your dog will interact with other canines. We want to learn about their habits, their behaviours, and their mannerisms. Once complete, P&B will have a better understanding of your dog's needs, enabling us to pair your dog with the services that are right for them.

How do I know what my dog has been up to?

We believe you should know what your dog is up to while they're with us. We are a big believers in owner updates. After every visit we promise to send you a text message so you're aware of all your dog's actions.

Do you offer a senior citizen discount?

Yes! We offer a 10% discount to senior citizens, aged 65 and older. Paws and Biscuits understands that seniors aren't always able to keep up with an active dog. And we want to help any way we can.  Please let us know that you are over the age of 65 so that we discount your invoice appropriately.

Is Paws & Biscuits insured?

Yes, we are insured and bonded by Profur Insurance.

Paws and Biscuits and Breed Select Legislation (BSL)

Please know that Paws and Biscuits does NOT discriminate against Pitbulls and other bully breeds. However, DOLA is a provincial policy that we must abide by to retain our insurance. If your vet can confirm that your dog is not a Bully breed identified by DOLA we would be happy to take your dog on board!
We apologize. We know it's not fair.

What are the requirements for my dog to join Paws and Biscuits?
